Job Summary:
Campus Guides are representatives of the Bethel University student body and the university as a whole. Campus Guides will interact and engage prospective students to promote Bethel University. They provide information and insight about the university through campus tours and special events. The Campus Guide position lasts one full school year (Fall and Spring terms).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Campus Tours
    • Leading scheduled tours fluently in English and Spanish for prospective students and families
    • Engaging in written and verbal communication with prospective students fluently in English and Spanish
    • Use personal Bethel experiences to build relationships with prospective students and families fluently in English and Spanish
  • Assist with Admission Events
    • Occasional Saturday visits and evening activities
    • Help with prep and setup, lead campus tours fluently in English and Spanish, help with various event tasks
    • Assist with clerical tasks and office work
  • Work with Marcom to update, translate, and maintain Bethel video and print materials into Spanish
  • Work with Marcom to create and maintain Spanish Bethel social media

  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in both Spanish and English
  • Maintain a Colossians 3:23 Attitude – Work willingly at whatever you do as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people
  • Must be flexible with job responsibilities during scheduled shift
  • Welcoming and customer service oriented
  • Loyalty and dedication to Bethel University with a passion for professionally promoting univerity
  • Must commit to Fall and Spring terms
  • Complete scheduled hours each week and responsible for finding replacement if a shift cannot be completed
  • Professional – must follow dress code
  • Maintain privacy of any information found in student files and student residences
  • Troubleshoot when tours/visits do not go according to plan
  • Have a basic knowledge of Bethel University
  • Earned and continue to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Job Expectations:

  • Required participation in training
  • Be flexible and available to work anytime not scheduled for classes, athletics or other employment
  • Check email/text messages regularly for communications from supervisors
  • Help recommend and train future Campus Guides
