Job Summary:
Student workers assist in casting and fulfilling the vision to see Bethel students learn through immersive experiences and service. In collaboration with the Director of Global Engagement and Career Services they provide customer service, perform administrative and clerical tasks, assist with marketing and student recruitment and coordinate events. They serve as a resource to connect students with programs and information that align with their interests, passion and calling.
We’re looking for current freshmen and sophomores to train a few hours a week this spring and work 10 hours/week during the 21/22 school year.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Maintain organized records
  • Communicate needs and opportunities to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional boundaries and keep sensitive information confidential

Administrative/Clerical Work

  • Answer phones/make phone calls
  • Use Microsoft Office applications for data entry, etc.
  • Assist staff in organizing office systems and records
  • Manage Task Force and Study Abroad applications and records
  • Track office activities through building and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Assist with tracking on campus and off campus internships
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Required participation in training
  • Willing to work during non-scheduled times for department related events
  • Maintain excellent communication with supervisor
  • Assist with communicating and marketing program opportunities
  • Help recruit and train future student employees
  • Actively seek to enhance the office’s ability to serve diverse students, and demonstrate a personal commitment to creating an inclusive office and campus culture
  • Collaborate with other student workers, supporting them in their work and assisting as needed with certain events, such Service Day and the Career Fair.

  • Have a good knowledge of Bethel University
  • Have high recommendations from English/Com. professors and Student Development Staff
  • Completed a minimum of 2 semesters at Bethel University
  • Earned and continue to maintain a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.5
